Ukrainian government had identified the organic agriculture as one of the priorities of the year. So, in 2017 have been planned to increase the area of the organic land by 10%. According to the Federation of Organic Movement of Ukraine, nowadays in Ukraine there are 410,550 hectares of land occupied by organic farming. Compared with 2010 this figure rose to 35%. Similar trends are observed in Europe. According to Eurostat, Europe's land area occupied by organic farming increased from 2010 to 2015 by 2 million hectares, which is 21%. Nowadays in Europe certified over 11 million hectares, which hosted more than 270 thousand farms.

That is why, March 2, 2017 in the city of Rivne. "Organic Ukraine West" and NUWEE with the assistance of "InvestInRivne" Agency conducted regional training on "Organic Farming" to discuss key issues that are currently prevailing in the organic sector.
The participants were acquainted with the logic of organic farming, organic certification process, and the choice of crops, agrosupport and marketing, processing, risk management business.

Among the topics that aroused the greatest interest of the audience were reports by Konstantin Sichny "Orahnichna Ukraine West" and Olena Berezovska "Organic Ukraine."

Vasyl Martynchuk, CEO "Rivneholodu" about "Processing organic berries, fruits and vegetables".

and also Elina Kats InvestInRivne Agency with report about the possibility of training at the Manager Training Programme of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) «Fit for partnership with Germany» for Ukrainian agricultural companies".
The event was a logical continuation AGROFORUM "Organic production - practical steps to enter the export markets" (June, 2016), which was organized by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in cooperation with the "Organic Ukraine" and aroused great interest of farmers, entrepreneurs, which are engaged or planning to start its operations towards organic agriculture.
